One Touch Operation in Usage
TM840G provides four programming keys and two keys programming on the keypad, allowing one-touch operation for functions such as Text Message or Voice Calls.

The TM840G supports various call types, including Private Call, Group Call, All Call and Emergency Call, as well as the rich data services, e.g. GPS, Text Message, IP connect and Data Transfer.
Privacy of Voice and Data
TM840G supports analog scrambling, digital encryption using Advanced Encryption Standard (AES)*1 , DES and ARCFOUR (ARC4) encryption for both voice and data.
Integrated GPS enables the real time tracking of personnel.
LIP Location Information Protocol
TM840G allows the operator to send GPS messages to other operators where required.
Various Analog Signalling Types
TM840G supports various analog signalling types (KDC1200, DTMF, 2-Tone and 5-Tone) with various squelch control options (CTCSS/CDCSS), thus providing greater expansion capacity in analog mode.
TM840G supports supplementary services of Radio Check, Remote Monitor, Call Alert, Radio Enable and Radio Disable.

Telephone Interconnect (via DTMF signalling)
TM840G is designed for use with additional accessory ports on the rear of the mobile, e.g. emergency footswitch.
Can support simplex voice communication between radio and telephone users. It allows a radio user to make a telephone call; or a telephone user to make either a Group or Private Call to radio users through Private Automated Branch Exchange (PABX) or Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN).
Dual Modes (Analog+Digital)
TM840G operates in either analog or digital mode on each channel. It is compatible with the corresponding analog system, ensuring a smooth analog to digital transition.
TM840G supports scanning of pure analog voice and signalling, pure digital voice and data, and also mixed-mode scan that comprises analog and digital operation.
TM840G offers a standard interface for any third party development via use of an optional board.
